The 8th annual National Dump the Pump Day on June 20 is a day to highlight that when gas prices are high, using public transportation is a great alternative to driving that will help people save money.

This applies to all PCPT transit buses with valid ID for proof of age.

Clinton Avenue widening public info meeting

Pasco County, Florida -- There will be a public information meeting and construction project update on Thursday, May 9.

It will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 37015 Orange Valley Lane, Dade City.

The purpose of the meeting is for the construction contractor and Pasco County staff to provide project status and schedule updates, and answer questions regarding the Clinton Avenue Widening Project which extends from west of Fort King Highway to east of U.S. 301.

TBARTA invites you to talk transportation

Tampa Bay, Florida--  The Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) invites residents from seven local counties to join in upcoming talks about the region's future transportation plans and priorities.

TBARTA reps say they will host telephone "TownHall meetings" for 10 days starting Monday, April 1.

An automated system will call between 40,000 and 80,000 per night to extend an invite to the forum, and then TBARTA reps will take it from there to answer questions and respond to comments.

Road closure date change: SR 56 entrance ramp on to SB I-75

Tampa, Florida-- The Florida Department of Transportation has canceled an Interstate 75 entrance ramp closure scheduled for March 27 - 28, and rescheduled it for April 2 and April 3. 

According to reports sent March 26, the State Road 56 entrance ramp onto southbound I-75 will now close from 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 3. The ramp could also close the same hours the following night if needed.

Pasco Co., FL-- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced lane closures throughout the county for this coming week.

They are as follows:

US 19 between the Pasco/Pinellas County Line to SR 52

  • Add pavement to right turn lanes, resurfacing – Daily lane closures Monday – Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
