Pasco County, Florida -- Hittin' the road for hospice comes back to Pasco County. This scenic motorcycle ride benefits Gulfside Regional Hospital.

On Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. the riders drive throughout Pasco County collecting cards. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Gulfside’s New Port Richey Thrift Shoppe located at 6117 State Road 54 in New Port Richey. 

Brush fire burns in Pasco County

New Port Richey, Florida -- Pasco County Fire Rescue and Florida Forest Service are on the scene of a rekindled brush fire in the Moon Lake area.

Currently, there are no homes in danger.  

The Pasco Sheriff's Office is assisting with their helicopter, to help firefighters determine how large the blaze is, and in which direction it is burning.

USA- Today --The Florida sun was shining a little bit brighter Sunday on an unidentified person who beat odds of 175 million-to-1 on a Powerball ticket worth $590.5 million, the largest jackpot in the game's history.

The lucky numbers in Saturday night's drawing were 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52, with a Powerball of 11. A mob of media and the curious amassed Sunday outside the Zephyr Commons Publix supermarket, in the Tampa suburb of Zephyrhills, where the winning ticket was sold.

Land O'Lakes, Florida -- Kiran Shila, age 17, is a Boy Scout in Troop 314 is in his final step to becoming an Eagle Scout.

Car and van collide in Pasco County

Pasco County, Florida -- Two teens are in the hospital after a car crash in Land O'Lakes. 

Kyle Hunnewell and Shawn Bosley were turning left onto Sunlake Boulevard from State Road 54 in a Honda. They turned left under a red turn arrow at the intersection and into the path of a a van, driven by William Ase, traveling west on State Road 54.

The vehicles collided with the van, causing the van to overturn. 

Hunnewell and Bosley were transported to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries. William Ase sustained minor injuries. 

UPDATE: Land O'Lakes man shot then taken to a 7-Eleven

Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that took place early Friday morning and ended in a man's death.

On May 17, around 5:53 a.m. a man was taken to a 7-Eleven in Land O'Lakes with a serious gunshot wound to his stomach. The 26-year-old male was taken to the 7-Eleven although that may not be where the shooting incident occurred. 

The victim was transported to St. Joseph's via ambulance but died on the way to the hospital.
