Books for Troops Drive begins Oct. 1 | Community Spirit

Lutz, Florida -- Starting Oct. 1, Books for Troops will be collecting paperback books for it’s annual book drive in support of deployed troops around the world and local veterans.

This year, volunteer support is being provided by the GFWC Lutz-Pasco Junior Woman’s Club.

“We are so excited about all of the community support we are receiving this year. Everyone is stepping up to participate in some way,” said Patricia Murphy, executive director of Books for Troops.

Since May 2011, Books for Troops has shipped over 5,000 books to troops overseas and delivered 2,000 books to local veterans. 

This year there will be collection sites throughout north Tampa at the following locations:
