Communication Concepts chooses Pasco County

Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco Economic Development Council, Inc. is pleased to announce that Communication Concepts, Inc. (CCI), a fast growing technology company, has signed a lease on a 5,000 square foot building located in the West Pasco Industrial Park in Odessa.

CCI needed room to grow and chose Pasco County after evaluating several locations. The company expansion is bringing 20 new jobs to Pasco County with an average annual wage of $48,000, approximately 150 percent of the Pasco County average annual wage.

Tampa real estate booming; leads state

Tampa, Florida-- The numbers are in, and they are up! More homes were sold last month in the Tampa Bay area than in in the past seven years combined.

According to MLS figures, 3,100 homes were sold in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties last month, a 7 percent increase compared to the same month in 2012.

Home sales prices also increased, up 22 percent over the same time period.

The average home in the Tampa Bay area sold for $150,000.

Congressman Bilirakis hosts free job fair at Pasco-Hernando CC

Dade City, FL -- The office of U.S. representative Gus Bilirakis has announced that the congressman will hold a job fair on May 2, at Pasco-Hernando Community College. The event will bring together more than 30 employers from various fields including banking, law enforcement, education, retail, hospitality, technology, community services and healthcare.

College fair in Land O' Lakes

Land O' Lakes, Florida- Congressman Bilirakis will hold his annual college fair at Sunlake High School in Land O' Lakes on Saturday, April 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This event will offer the opportunity for students and their families to learn about available financial aid resources and the admissions process.

There will also be representatives on hand from regional colleges, local career education and technical training schools, and the military service academies to provide information and answer questions.

Pinellas County, Florida -- SMARTstart is the name unveiled by the Pasco Economic Development Council for the new business incubator in Dade City. It was unveiled on Tuesday, April 9th at Dade City’s City Commission meeting. The new logo was received with overwhelmingly positive feedback from council members and other community partners.
